The headline is the key to successful marketing.
BECAUSE.
We tried to make a super good ad that flopped for no reason.
And we’re be like:
“Why the hell does it flop?
“It’s really such a good ad.”
“The ad is really good. Why does it fail?”
And it will just literally be that in the first second.
It’s just the BOOOooooring headline.
“What did you do for a living?”
I assume most of you might have heard that word. Right?
And I don’t know what you are thinking about that sentence. But it repeatedly plays on social media again and again.
And why do some of it work and some of it fail?
Curiosity For Answers…
People scroll off after the first second and every now and then.
We put out the ad and some mad scientist will run an experiment on headline.
“We have a really good headline” but the rest of the ad is just ‘meh’
It is not that great.
However the marketing is successful because the ad reaches more people.
You will be surprised why it did so well.
And we only know that the headline is so important because:
Trial And Error
It’s from trying thing
It’s from really notice things
It’s from thinking and using our brain.
‘Why did this and do so well?’
‘What could it be?’
‘Well the headline is really good. It is very interesting in what it talks about.’
‘The rest is boring but why does that one go viral versus the other one?’
Well, I guess the other one didn’t have too good of a headline right?
When you guys do marketing, when you want to post it.
Ask yourself:
Is The Headline Perfect?
Only from thinking you are able to speak and explain the game of marketing more than any other else.
If you are not gonna use your brain to understand the fundamentals.
It’s really funny because every single time.
I have said the same thing to people who are good at marketing.
None of them about it.
None of this stuff can be google.
None of them had it spelled out for them
‘The headline is the most important thing’
I never had that spelled out for me.
I learn it through trying. I learn it through experience and I learn it because as you continue to work.
It just makes common sense.
You see it everywhere.
After a while, you will realize the pattern.
You will notice it instantly.
I want to end here but I will leave you a few keys ‘the headline is so important’ that you absolutely need to be great at.
Everything that you make for marketing should base off the headline.
Start With Headline…
If you want to know you’re doing an ad right.
When you go through an ad.
As soon as you think “Ah, I think this is a good ad”.
I want you to ask yourself ‘What’s the best headline I could use with it?’
‘Is that a good headline?’
Because if you can’t come up with a good headline to go with your ad it is not a good ad.
Simple as that.
Your ad is going to only be good as the headline you can use in relation to that marketing.
That’s how important the headline is.
Your fishing rod doesn’t matter if the hook doesn’t work with that fishing rod.
If you are fishing and you have the best fishing rod in the world.
But you can’t put the hook on the other end.
Guess what?
You’re not gonna catch any fish.
It’s a shitty fishing rod.
It Doesn’t Matter How Good Your Service Or Product Is…
If the product is good but it is impossible to get a good headline on marketing it.
It is a bad product.
If a product is bad it’s possible to get really good headline marketing on it.
The products are good.
That is how important headlines are when doing marketing.
It is what it is.
Through trying things.
It’s the only way I learn it.
It’s the only way anyone who is good at anything ever learns.
And that is why you are good at the business that you are doing.
